It features an STI Performance Level 2 insole for better impact protection and a reinforced āForce Shieldā upper for longevity. The toe is a clean one-piece vamp to improve flick and reduce blowouts, and the foxing tape is double-wrapped vulc for extra lifespan. Despite these reinforcements, it retains a low-top silhouette with moderate padding. Essentially, etnies took the slim Barge and beefed it up in critical areas (collar, insole, foxing) to create the Barge Plus ā a more ābuilt-upā vulc that can handle harsher skating while maintaining boardfeel.
